I agree CC!  That would be awesome.  I have emailed him on his personal email and no response and that was a few weeks ago...I will see what other ways we can get him back...we should all try faxing him (that is if the fax number still works) and asking him what is going on with him.  Why don't we give it a time frame, if we don't hear from him in so many weeks, or whatever then we start doing our own thing, what do you guys think? 

I can build a site, and have access to free hosting, etc.
The thing is, is it right to give up on Eric? I say we should try real hard to get him back on board (so to speak) first, but if he is gone permanently, then we will have no choice. You should have the permissions to delete users and keep the board clean.
However,
This board must exist somewhere, and the fact is, no one is here any longer anyhow... this is dead in its current iteration.

If you can't get in contact with Eric there probably isn't much choice but to start a board where we can have the control we need to keep those porn bots off it.  I'd hate to see it come to that because we've all been on this board for so long and not everyone will know to come to the board we may move to.

cost of the board is free if you use phpBB or what Eric used ( www.simplemachines.org/ )  only cost might be server space (which i have no clue what the cost would really be for that)

i guess if you take a look at some domain resellers that also have hosting its like $6 a month just for hosting and like $10-15 a year for a .org domain

CC I am so very sorry.  I know it was on here forever and people probably gave up on me =(  Had a lot going on, but it won't happen again!  I also could not get into my e-mail, but I have fixed that now.  Here is the thing with having an assistant.  I would love to have one but I don't have access to do that.  Nor do I have access to ban people, which is kind of frustrating at times!  There is only so much I can do.  I emailed Eric, but no response yet.  Can we keep this going on our own?  I really would like to but things need to change.  A lot of our members have given up on us, which is sad.  I will try very hard to get in touch with Eric, not going to give up.
We might just have to start something else on our own  yet, as far as how much that would cost I have no clue.  I will look into it.  I would like to keep this going but without access or authorization to do really anything, we may have no choice.  What do you guys think?

Glad to see you are back. I won't be around as long as that kind of crap is up on the site, and it was there FAR too long. Why don't you make someone an assistant moderator with permissions to delete? I bet I am not the only one that will not participate while idiots are advertising smut here.

Yeah well it happens, I am totally fine though.  No point in crying my eyes balls out, something better usually comes along =) 

At least your ex isn't out there getting into trouble anymore, and she is taking care of her child like she should be doing.  I think the ex's enjoy far too much making the father suffer.  They do however LOVE the money they get. 

So where is everyone at??  I think a lot of them gave up on us or something!  I haven't heard from Eric either.  It's as if he disappeared or something.  I knew he had something new coming up but I never thought he would be gone like this!     

You asked about futureadvocate, and well he is doing good.  He is just very busy with law school as well as working a lot.  He needs to get back on here!

i don't get why court systems love to put the kids with the parent that likes to just hand them off to a babysitter 6 nights out of the week so they can go clubbing, go to a bar, etc

initially my ex did that shit, but now i think with her new husband she has calmed down.  that and she got caught barhopping by one of my friends so i mentioned it to my attorney who mentioned it to my ex's attorney and thats about the time my ex stopped having everyone and their mother babysit my son.
